Quality Angus Beef.

Our Angus Beef is all grass-fed & grain-finished and free from antibiotics and hormones. We raise all of our own steers, or purchase them from a local breeder who has standards just as high as ours to ensure our beef grades choice or higher.

Show Cattle.

We raise award-winning Angus, Simmental, and percentage Simmental show cattle. We work primarily with youth local to Tangipahoa Parish here in Louisiana, however, we can help you locate the right animal for you from anywhere in the country.

Custom Farming.

We specialize in commercial & custom hay production, where we strive to put up the best quality hay to sell, and also help provide our custom customers with the best quality hay they can grow. We also offer spraying, fertilizer spreading, bush hogging, and planting.

3rd Generation Farm

KeCo Farm was founded in 1971 in Loranger Louisiana, when Paul and Elaine Brunett purchased what is now the main location. In recent years, KeCo Farm has seen several land acquisitions that have led it to what it is now. Today it’s operated by Joshua & Victoria Scott and Julius & Monette Scott.

High Quality Beef.

We are an Angus and Simmental breeder focused on having the show look without sacrificing the carcass quality. We believe that it is important for our females to have a certain look to them, but for them also to go out and perform as cows and still produce as high quality carcasses as we can.

Our Story

KeCo Farm was founded in 1971 when Paul and Elaine Brunett purchased what is now the main location. In recent years, KeCo Farm has seen several land acquisitions that have led it to what it is now. It all began as a purebred Angus operation that was breeding for calves to just market at weaning and get ready for the next calf crop. In 2004 was when things got shook up when we branched out into the show cattle industry. We dealt with strictly Angus cattle until 2009 when we purchased our first set of Limousine cattle. From there we have also branched out into the Simmental and Maine-Anjou market as well but focus mostly on Angus and Simmental genetics. In 2013 when Josh moved off to go to college, the focus shifted back to raising calves to market at weaning. In 2016 when he returned things began to shift back into the show cattle market, but also more of an importance of carcass quality.

This lead us to where we are today. We produce quality finished steers for purchase that will grade USDA Choice or higher. KeCo farm is still in the show cattle business and raises top-quality stock in addition to our hay sales, custom hay production, and many other custom farm labor jobs.

As we look forward our goal is to acquire more land so that we can expand and grow our herd of show cattle while also expanding our hay sales and giving us more room to place more steers on feed.
